Friends are a group of individuals who believe the library offers a great wealth of information and activities. They may be the book lover, avid reader, researcher,
learner advocate or
activities supporter.
What is their purpose?
Their purpose is to promote and support all aspects of the library. Friends members use the library themselves as individuals and families, volunteer their support of activities, or as a whole provide financial support to the library.
Who determines what the Friends do?
A
board of directors governs the Friends of the Library. They meet monthly to determine the
progress
of or decide on
new projects. All Friends members are welcome to attend these monthly meetings.
Meetings are held at the library.
What type of projects do the Friends support?
~Hold an annual book sale.

Hold an annual Humanities program.
~
Provide an ongoing sale table of used books.
~sell Rada cutlery in the library.
~Purchase books (large print), audio books or videos.
~Have provided financial support in the construction costs of the existing
library and art gallery.
How can I become a member?
Simply contact any Board member or the Library to purchase a membership. By
membership you declare that you will support and believe in our purpose. As a
member you will volunteer to spread the word to family and friends of all the
benefits of the library!
