The upstairs of the
Carnegie
Library, built in 1914, was renovated into an art gallery by
Library Board member, Clarence Hoesing and completed in Nov. 2002.
The art gallery is funded by the
Hartington
Library Foundation through the financial gift
from the Arlo and Anne Wirth estate.
An art gallery advisory board was established
to determine the criteria and selection of the art work, promote art exhibits, and
enhance the role of the arts in the community.
The gallery is open during regular
library hours. School and Group Tours are welcome. |
